First you need to understand the various ad types to get the full impact and meaning.

Onsite Ads

There are ONSITE ADS that only the members of Commissions Unleashed can view when they log in. These include:

• Login Ads – as it implies, shown after the OTO and Special Offers.  600×300 Banner that directs to the target URL
• Full Page Login Ads – an ad that displays after the Login ad
• Featured Ads –

Sent Ads

There are SENT ADS that have an email ad body sent to the mail inbox of the member.

When they click the credit link, the first thing that happens is a header is displayed that may contain Banner Ads, Hot Links, or Traffic Links.

Additionally, by clicking in certain places in that header, they reader can be directed to Cash Traffic Machine, using YOUR affiliate ID so that if they join using that link, YOU get the referral credit!

Sent Ads may also be viewed from within the site, but once viewed you cannot get credit for viewing the ad and earning points in both places.

The ad types that are SENT Ads are:

• Member SOLO Ads – sent to the CONTACT email ID of all members
• PTC Solo Ads – Paid to Click HTML ads (planned at this site)
• Admin Ads – sent to the CONTACT email ID of the recipient
• Referral Ads – sent to the CONTACT email ID of the recipient by their upline
• System Mailer – sent to the LIST email ID of the recipients (depends on the number of credits assigned)
• Line Mailer – an ad similar to a Solo ad, except it does not support HTML format – unformatted text only.
• Solo Header Ad – a text ad that appears in the first several lines of the email containing the credit link for a Solo Ad
• Solo Footer Ad – a text ad that appears in the last several lines of the email containing the credit link for a Solo Ad
• Some Banner Ads – displayed in the message header when the credit link is clicked.  
• Some Text Ads – displayed in the message header when the credit link is clicked.

SuperNetwork Ads

Next, but the widest reach and most powerful ads are the SUPERNETWORK Ads.  These ads go to many different sites and tens of thousands of members.  DEFINITELY WORTH THE INEXPENSIVE FEE (when compared to commercial Solo Ads).

Can you purchase credits on Commissions Unleashed?

The short answer is NO.

• You can receive an allocation of credits when joining.
• The Admin can grant you credits
• You can EARN credits from various methods…
• but YOU CANNOT PURCHASE CREDITS!

Like banners, text ads are also not well understood, but they remain a powerful and inexpensive advertising medium.  There are some limitations, primarily the limited space for your text.

Like banners, when the credit link in an email message is clicked, frequently, along with a banner in the header, there may be one or more text messages.

Like banners, text messages are procured through the Advertising button.  They can be purchased there, or trade credits.  Once procured, a message will be shown in Advertising telling you how many text ads you have available.

Let’s look at the basics:

• Subject Line: – the text that will display
• URL: – this is the webpage the viewer sees when they click this text ad.
• Save button – be sure you click SAVE after entering either the text or the above URL

For ads already submitted, a pulldown box shows the subject line, and by selecting an ad, you can apply the text ad credits to that ad.,

Statistics

• Subject: the text the member will see
• Max Displays: the number of views purchased
• Displays: this is the number of times your text ad has been SHOWN.
• Clicks: this is the number of times the viewer CLICKED on your text ad
• Approved: “Not Yet” or “Yes”
• Edit  button – allows you to make changes to the ad.  Any changes must  be approved by the Admin.

Banners come in several sizes, and they still remain one of the most common, but not necessarily the most effectively used advertising media.

•  I advise running some tests on any site you join to get a feel for how the membership READS your banner ads.
• On sites that primarily deal in email marketing, banners are getting exposures when people open the email and click the credit link.  When the ad is displayed, there is usually a banner displayed in the header.  This is the most ignored opportunity to earn credits.
• On sites that find members logging in and viewing ads on the site, banners have a better probability of being seen, and getting clicks.
• On a new site like Commissions Unleashed, new members, especially PAID membes, receive huge allocations of credits, and those credits cannot be used to trade for Solo ads or SuperNetwork ads, so there is a higher probability of seeing a strong showing for many different ad types.

I personally like banners (468×60), buttons (125×125), and Login Ads (600×300).  Surprisingly, button  ads tend to do better than banner ads.  
Spread the word: banners can be an extremely powerful ad medium.  And, they can sit there for months with no traffic, then all of a sudden, they take off.

How to Set Up Banners

All banners are purchased or traded for credits, and defined in Advertising button on the NAV Menu.  You must have credits to trade, or purchase banners.  Once the transaction goes through, you will be taken to the Banner Setup screen.

This is important.  Use only the prescribed banner sizes specified.  Do not use oversized or undersized graphics.

• Banners are 468×60.
• Buttons are 125×125.
• Login ads are 600×300.
  

Let’s look at the basics

• Banner Name: – this is for your benefit only – the other members do not see this name.
• Banner URL: – this is the URL of the 468×60 banner
• Target URL: – this is the webpage the viewer sees when they click this banner.
• Preview Banner button – THIS IS THE MOST USEFUL and LEAST USED FUNCTION in the system. I advise checking your banner with Preview EVERY TIME.
• Save – be sure you click SAVE after entering either of the above URL’s

Statistics

• Name:  Your name as you defined it
• Total Displays:  This is the number of VIEWS you have remaining
• Displayed: this is the number of times your banner has been SHOWN.
• Clicks: this is the number of times the viewer CLICKED on your banner
• Edit button – this allows you to edit the information about your banner and resubmit. Any changes must be approved by the admin,

There are four buttons associated with the Mailer functions of Commissions Unleashed:

• System Mailer
• Advertising
• Line Mailer
• NEW 10 LVL Mailer

System Mailer

The System Mailer is the Credit mailer function at Commissions Unleashed.  

• You must have credits available to send a message using System Mailer.
• You must enter a SUBJECT LINE, Email Body, and Target URL
• To comply with anti-spam and FTC regulations, do not use dollar signs in the subject line, no deceptive subject lines, vulgarity, etc.
• Your email body cannot use HTML formatting – Text only
• Depending on your membership level, you can send to a particular number of members, and if the total number of members is greater than that limit, you can supplement up to a prescribed number of credits.  For example, a Pro member can send to 500 members without credits.  If there are more than 500 members, the Pro member can supplement with 500 additional credits, making the total number of members to receive that message 1,000.  Similar examples can be made for each membership level:  consult the Upgrade Account chart to determine the system mailer limits.
• Once you click SEND, your message will be validated, and you must click the CONFIRM YOUR SITE  button to finish submission

Advertising

You will find an opportunity to purchase each type of ad, to view the already submitted ads and statistics, and notices that you still have remaining ads of the various types.

Ad types associated with Mailing in the Advertising section are Solo Ads and SuperNetwork Ads of various types.  You will learn more about these ad types.

Line Mailer

The Line Mailer allows you to mail everyone that joined AFTER you.  The date you joined is posted in this screen, and there is a count of the number of members available for you to mail.
